If you don't maintain the products regularly, we advise against using them long-term in damp environments to prevent rapid mold growth.

Here are the product maintenance instructions: 1. Rub down each piece with mineral oil before assembling 2. Shake off excess water after showers. 3. Apply mineral oil again about twice a month.

Here are some installation tips from our customers for your reference: Tips 1: Never ever tighten each fastener as you assemble RTA furniture. Leave them slightly loose until everything is fully put together and then stand the piece on a solid non-carpeted surface to true it up. That term simply means to twist it and adjust it until everything is squared off and solid. For this shower bench, we advise you to put it in the location in the bathroom where it will live and then tightened everything. And to make doubly sure, you can lean on it with your forearm to simulate having some weight on it.

Tips 2: Use a high-quality woodworker's glue on every place where bare wood meets bare wood. They will keep solid as they were the day you built them for decades. This is a best practice we highly recommend.
